Minimalism Done Your Way

I believe that fashion is up for interpretation and what sets you apart from other fashionistas is your point of view. If awards season is any indication of this year’s trend, minimalism is in. So perhaps we should use our creative liberty and interpret this as simply meaning that we should “edit” our jewelry. As Coco Chanel said, “always take one thing (accessory) off before you leave the house.” That being said, we can still make a statement without being overpowered by our accessories.
If you are looking to express yourself without disappointing your fashionista within, I suggest pieces made for layering or choosing one statement piece rather than piling on two or three. I recommend the Iron Gate Swirl Cuff which has a lot of look but little metal, stacking the Principio Scroll Ring, or playing around with the different layered looks of the Leone Rope Necklace. As always, I recommend limiting yourself to one statement piece per body part for day wear (i.e., necklace or earrings, ring or bracelet). Jewelry shouldn’t overpower you, but highlight your natural beauty.
